  • Needs Assessment:

    With the emphasis on preventative medicine and the research which indicates that stress has a significant impact on over-eating and obesity, healthcare professionals are looking for ways to help themselves and their patients reduce stress levels and modify eating habits, thereby increasing their own, as well as their patients, chances of successfully losing and maintaining weight.

    Target Audience: Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists, PAs


    Educational Objectives:
    I. Recognizing the concepts of mindfulness
    II. Integrating the connection between, and employing the skills of, mindfulness and stress reduction
    III. Integrating the connection between, and employing the skills of, mindfulness, stress reduction, and health


    Method of Participation: This interactive learning experience will facilitate the skills of mindfulness practice, self-awareness, and clear communication.
